Tough times ahead

Most of you probably don't know that I have a beautiful 12 year old stepdaughter named Jada that lives in Roswell, New Mexico. Jada's mom Amanda was diagnosed with cancer about 4 1/2 years ago. Doctors had discovered an inoperable brain tumor the size of a golf ball. She had undergone several Chemotherapy treatments, and finally had gone into remission, so of course we were all optimistic in believing that she had beat it. Jada came out to Arizona for her month long summer visit in June of last year. When she went back home to Roswell her mom was having problems going up and down stairs, and just an overall hard time using the right side of her body. She had gone back to the doctor and had some more testing done, at that point she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. It has now been 8 more months and Amanda's health is just deteriorating. She currently has no bladder control, can't remember what she is talking about mid-sentence and cannot move the right side of her body. As of today there is nothing more the doctors can do. We pray for her everyday, and hope that Jada will be able to stay strong for herself and her 17 month old sister. We are already so proud of her for everything she has done to help her mom out, and for the way she is handling this difficult circumstance right now.

Currently there is not a day that goes by that i dont think of everyone around me, and where i would be if I didn't have them in my life. I am so grateful to have such great family, and friends. This is going to be a very challenging year, but we will get through it.
