Tough times ahead

Most of you probably don't know that I have a beautiful 12 year old stepdaughter named Jada that lives in Roswell, New Mexico. Jada's mom Amanda was diagnosed with cancer about 4 1/2 years ago. Doctors had discovered an inoperable brain tumor the size of a golf ball. She had undergone several Chemotherapy treatments, and finally had gone into remission, so of course we were all optimistic in believing that she had beat it. Jada came out to Arizona for her month long summer visit in June of last year. When she went back home to Roswell her mom was having problems going up and down stairs, and just an overall hard time using the right side of her body. She had gone back to the doctor and had some more testing done, at that point she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. It has now been 8 more months and Amanda's health is just deteriorating. She currently has no bladder control, can't remember what she is talking about mid-sentence and cannot move the right side of her body. As of today there is nothing more the doctors can do. We pray for her everyday, and hope that Jada will be able to stay strong for herself and her 17 month old sister. We are already so proud of her for everything she has done to help her mom out, and for the way she is handling this difficult circumstance right now.

Currently there is not a day that goes by that i dont think of everyone around me, and where i would be if I didn't have them in my life. I am so grateful to have such great family, and friends. This is going to be a very challenging year, but we will get through it.

Everytime I look at my sweet little baby, I am just amazed at how fast he is growing, he is now 9 months old. He crawls, he stands, he can takes steps, he climbs the stairs, he can drink from a straw, and prefers coke (I know, not good) but he knows what a can of coke is, and he loves it. When we are laughing he starts to laugh, it's so cute, it is a fake laugh, funnier than ever. he tries to make the sound of Crosby when he barks. He is always going, quite the busy body!
I have posted some pictures below.

Whats New!!

I never knew a baby could bring so much happiness to our lives. I couldn't imagine life without him! Our little bundle of joy is not such a "little bundle" anymore. Marques is now 7 months old, and weighs in at 19.8 lbs and is over 28 inches long. He creeps, he crawls, and his giggles make us all giggle. He just cut his first tooth 2 weeks ago, and is now cutting his second tooth. If it's within reach, then it's in his mouth.

Baby Adventures

Marques Jr. is now 10 weeks old and gianormous!! He is 24 1/2 inches long, and weighs 13lbs and12 oz. He is in the 97th percentile for both his height and weight. Who knew such a big kid could fit inside my short body? He is getting over his colic, and is showing us what a happy baby he will be with all his smiles, and sounds. We are very blessed to have such a great addition to our family.

I THINK HE IS BROKEN!!

So I have been around enough babies to know that they can cry at any moment. I have recently discovered that mine has nothing but those moments. Basically If he isn't asleep he is crying!! I think he is BROKEN!!
